Pet Airways - An Airline for Your Pets - Is This for Real?

Pet Airways, an airline for animals based in Delray Beach, Florida recently announced it will carry pets in the main cabin of their aircrafts. "Pawsengers" can be transported to and from Denver, New York, Washington, Chicago and Los Angeles with more cities to be added later.

Your pet will be dropped off at the pet lounge and is constantly cared for by trained attendants.

What about uh...pet pit stops? That will depend on travel time as will food and water needs.

Up until now, animals had to be transported in the cargo hold of a plane. The temperature, noise, lack of light and other uncomfortable factors made animal owners reluctant to fly with their pets.

The cost of the flights for felines and other pets have yet to be announced.
