Four year old North London resident, Daniel Blair, meant only to give his one week old Cocker Spaniel puppy a bath. Using his child logic, what better place to clean his pup, including a rinse cycle, than a toilet? When little Daniel realized the puppy wasn't coming back after the flush, he ran to tell his mother, Allison Blair, who ran out to a nearby manhole cover to try and find the pup. She could hear him, but not see him. Firefighters were summoned, but didn't have the equipment to rescue the puppy. Eventually, a UK plumbing company was called. Using closed circuit TV the puppy's location was pinpointed and rescuers used equipment to nudge the pup to the manhole where he could be lifted out of the sewer.
The pup, now named Dyno in honor of the company which rescued him, is perfectly fine. His human, Daniel, has promised not to flush anything down the loo again!

What an experience for a week old puppy and what a great ending. I started not to read this because I didn't want to hear of the puppy's death. Thanks for sharing this with us Lorrie. Joel HendonRespond to this comment

Thanks for reading, Joel, and because of your comment, I changed the title a little. It did sound pretty grim!

Incredible! Enjoyed this read! Wonder if he will love water like a typical lab or definitely will not? MarijoRespond to this comment
