Christmas and Birthday Gifts for Dog Lovers
by Lorrie Davids(428)
For Christmas or any occasion, if you are buying a gift for a someone who loves their dog, you can't go wrong with a gift that is about their dog. Need some ideas? Below is a list of gifts your canine owning pets will love.
A T-shirt or sweatshirt with a pic of the person and his dog, or just a pic of the breed.
If you are buying for a coffee drinker, an oversized mug that lets everyone know the mug belongs to a dog lover or a (breed)'s mom will brighten each morning.
A pawprint kit would be welcomed by any dog owner. The kit should include a shadowbox frame, the pawprint material with directions. If the dog is a senior, the gift will be more appreciated than you know.
A breed specific calendar is a perfect Christmas gift, since that time of year, everyone needs a new one. Your local pet store will carry this item and if not, check online.
A watch with a breed picture on the face will delight any dog owner. Each time he checks the time, he sees his favorite pup!
Doormats are available, both general with sayings and breed specific. Sayings as "Warning, Dog Can't Hold Its Licker" and "Please Wipe Your Paws" are popular gifts.
In each case, if not using an actual pic of the recipient's dog, make sure the gift you select looks a lot like their dog. There are a variety of looks for each breed and most venues will have the look you need. If you aren't near a pet store (sometimes places like Wal-Mart carry some of these items), do an online search using the name of breed and the word 'merchandise'. Dog gifts will provide a Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday every time!
