Boxer, Jake Reunited With Family After Two (2) Years Apart
by Lorrie Davids(398)
The Bishops, Brian and Bobbie Jo, never thought they'd see their dog, Jake, again. Almost two years ago, Jake ran out of or was possibly taken from their back yard through a storm-damaged fence. Jake's collar was found in the street in front of the Bishop's Ft. Worth home.
Bobbie Jo has been searching for their pup since he disappeared and recently saw a dog she knew was Jake on the Legacy Boxer Rescue Web Site. Jake was found by Legacy at animal control and rescued from the shelter.
When reunited, they knew it was their beloved Jake and his wagging tail at hearing his name confirmed it. Jake is the same dog, though a little grayer and slimmer than before.
Jake is fourth dog Legacy has reunited with its owner out of about 1,500 rescued according to Kim Ashley, a volunteer with the Rescue.
What a great start to 2010 for the Bishops and Jake! This is the kind of ending we like to hear about.

Love this story! Hope there are many more happy endings like this one - how many families look after 2 years? MarijoRespond to this comment
